Some urban residents are bidding farewell to city living. A lot of Americans, including owners of Santa Barbara homes are wanting more than big cities have to offer. Anybody looking to break free from city strains are charmed by rural living.

City dwellers who have chosen to move to the countryside, contribute to most of rural development. Many folks choose to travel to surrounding cities for employment while others choose to change their lifestyle totally and move to acreage with horses, sheep, and chickens.

In many cases, a bigger city is only a short drive away and is the spot to find shopping centers, movie theaters, and other forms of entertainment and nightlife which are difficult to come by in a smaller community.
