You will hurt your chances of carrying out your Santa Barbara real estate transacation if you fall victim to identity theft. Identity theft is going to be scrutinized by Congress as they investigate email phishing scams.

Phishing is where a person or organization attempts to obtain delicate information, dishonestly, by pretending to be a trustworthy business, such as Amazon.com or a large bank. Monitoring email that looks suspicious is extremely important. Report any email that you think is a scam.
