Gizmos that come with cords are being bought up by more folks. Cell phones, computers, and iPods are almost mandatory in any Santa Barbara home , but require a variety of unattractive cords. Furniture with power strips, USB ports, and phone and Internet jacks are built right in are now being built by many companies. From nightstands to work tables to coffee tables, power sources can be concealed almost anywhere.

One of the challenges that come with bringing power to nightstands and coffee tables is avoiding spills. We're used to keeping drinks away from the keyboard, but will we be able to keep them away from the coffee table? Until cell phones and laptops are waterproof, we have to proceed with caution. This style of furniture is thought of as a luxury, but might soon become standard.

A new trend in design is spreading throughout the nation. For Santa Barbara home decorating ideas, some homeowners are going to a taxidermist. Boutiques and fancy department stores have begun offering stuffed animals. Taxidermy decor is all over the place, from quails and pheasants to elk and bears.

Several individuals think that modern, cold interiors get a bit of warmth by decorating with stuffed animals. While some love the look of an armadillo in front of the fireplace, others think it's a bit disturbing. There is no telling how long this taxidermy chic look will last so it's best to get your flamingo while you can.
