Do not frett, you haven't missed out on the opportunity to buy a fantastic Santa Barbara vacation home . There are benefits to owning a vacation home, although the market is not what it was. Buying as an investment is not always a smart idea. Second home sales have started to drop in price. However, it is a great idea to purchase for personal ownership. The home you love remains at a lower price with a deflating bubble.

To get the feel for an area, spend a few weeks in the possible town. Look around and buy something you love, not the best deal. Purchasing a piece of Santa Barbara real estate as a vacation home might be the best decision you will ever make, if you do your homework.
